1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of 100LS ("the App," "the Service"), operated by the 100LS team ("we," "us," "our"). By downloading, installing, or using 100LS, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you are using 100LS on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. The Service
100LS is an iOS application that enables users to learn English through audio content. The Service includes:
- A curated library of podcast episodes for language learning
- An audio player with sentence-by-sentence subtitle navigation
- On-device speech transcription and translation
- Tools to import, organize, and study personal audio content
- A Favorites system for saving and reviewing key phrases
- Learning analytics and progress tracking (100LS Plus)
- Cloud sync for learning data (100LS Plus)
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
3. Accounts & Registration
Guest Mode
You may use 100LS without creating an account. Guest usage is stored locally on your device. If you uninstall the app, locally stored data will be lost and cannot be recovered.
Sign In with Apple
Account creation is done via Sign in with Apple. By creating an account, you agree to Apple's terms and authorize us to use the information Apple provides to create and manage your 100LS account.
Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Notify us immediately at juvenpp@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account.
One Account Per User
Each account is for a single individual. You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent limits or restrictions.
4. Subscriptions & Payments
100LS Plus
100LS Plus is a premium subscription that unlocks additional features including unlimited imports, unlimited favorites, analytics, AI explanations, follow-reading practice, and cross-device sync.
Billing
Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store on a monthly or annual basis, as selected at time of purchase. By subscribing, you authorize Apple to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
Free Trial
We may offer a free trial period for 100LS Plus. At the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically renew at the then-current price unless you cancel before the trial ends.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to Plus features until the period ends. We do not offer partial refunds for unused subscription time.
Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple in accordance with their refund policies. We have no ability to issue refunds directly.
Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price changes. Your continued use of 100LS Plus after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.
5. Content & Intellectual Property
Our Content
The 100LS app, including its design, code, features, and platform-provided podcast content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service without our written permission.
Third-Party Content
Platform podcast content is sourced from third-party publishers and is made available under license. We do not claim ownership over third-party audio or transcripts. All rights remain with their respective owners.
Limited License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use 100LS for your personal, non-commercial language learning purposes, subject to these Terms.
6. Your Content
You may import personal audio files and other content into 100LS ("User Content"). You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to import and use this content within the app.
License to Us
By enabling cloud sync for your personal content (Plus subscribers), you grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely for the purpose of providing the sync service to you. We do not analyze, share, or use your personal audio content for any other purpose.
Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the User Content you import. Do not import content that infringes third-party copyrights, contains illegal material, or violates these Terms. We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these requirements.
7. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use 100LS to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app or attempt to extract source code
- Circumvent subscription limits through technical means, account manipulation, or abuse
- Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the Service
- Transmit malware, viruses, or any code designed to disrupt or damage the Service
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, servers, or databases
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Engage in any activity that could damage, overburden, or impair the Service
Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate termination of your account and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.
8. Disclaimers
100LS is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including:
- Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
- Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses
- Warranties regarding the accuracy or completeness of any subtitles, transcriptions, or translations generated by the Service
Transcription and translation are generated by AI and may contain errors. 100LS is a learning tool and should not be relied upon for professional, medical, legal, or safety-critical purposes.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall 100LS, its team, or its licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill — arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10 USD if you have not made any payments.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations on liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
10. Termination
You may stop using 100LS and delete your account at any time. Account deletion can be initiated from Settings → Account within the app.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the app ends and we may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will survive termination.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or, where arbitration is not permitted, in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
